Attention Immigrants

Are you tired of all the negativity expressed in the media today about immigrants?  Are you ready to tell the world your story of struggle, hope, tears, fears, joys and more?  Do you want to share your story with others to give them hope and encouragement. We want to hear your story.

Description of Project

If you are interested, send Joan a brief summary of your story to be considered for her next book.  Don’t worry about the writing.  We want the story.  If your story is chosen we will interview you and write it for you.  The book will contain approximately 75 struggling, challenging, uplifting, and encouraging success stories. 

If your story is included in the new book you will receive a byline (your name in the book) and a short bio (Tell us what you do now: The name of your current business and type of business that you want to promote.)  Also you will receive a copy of the new book when it is released.

Rights

We will have one-time and reprint rights. We will reserve full editorial rights.  We will have the right to tell your story in our workshops and media interviews. We will promote your business at these events if appropriate.  You will be sent a form in the event your story is chosen for publication.  The form must be signed and returned promptly or we will be unable to publish the story.

Ways to Submit Your Story

1) Send complete story via e-mail to dynamos@cloutpower.com

2) Send via United States Post Office. Be sure to include your contact information listed below, and your submission MUST BE TYPED.  The final stories will be from 500-1,000 words.

Tell us why you came to America.  What was your dream?  What challenges did you experience when you arrived in the USA?  Did you start a business?  What were your experiences with the business?  How did you survive in college?  Your true story must touch the emotions of our readers.  It must tug at their hearts. It must give them hope and encouragement.  If you do not want to use your real name, that is okay.  We will use a fictitious name for your story.

This information will help the reader know the diversity of our contributors and let us know some other interesting things about you.   This information will go in the back of the book as an appendix. Your name will not be used.
